A little behind the times...
Now I don't know about all of you, but I LOVE The Muppets... They were my favourites as a child and they've never fallen out of my favour. So you can imagine my delight when it was announced they were making a movie, well that was eclipsed when O.P.I announced they were going to be doing a selection of polishes to tie in with the movies release.
What's better than a high quality formula, than one with Muppets themed names and colours - brilliant.
Fast track a few months and I'm finally be going to do some periodical posts of all the different colours. Yes I bought them all, but in my defence I managed to find them on Ebay at a cheaper price. I paid roughly 40 for the whole collection which isn't too bad considering there are 12 polishes and they usually retail for an excess of 10 in the UK.
The shade featured in today's lovely post is Meep Meep Meep which I think is just the cutest name. With regards to the shade itself, it's a lovely Barbie-ish pink. In my opinion it is the pink I imagine Barbie would wear for a sophisticated night out. It's glamorous and girly without being sickly sweet.
The one thing I really love about this is that although it has the same formula as Pepe's Purple Passion it seems to go on so much better. I cannot stand Pepe's Purple Passion, it goes on terribly no matter how its applied and I just can't seem to get it to work for me.. If anyone has any tips on perfecting this I would be eternally grateful as I would hate to waste it.
In the following images, I've used a simple clear nail polish for a base [I'm yet to be convinced of the need for a designated base coat], two coats of colour and then another coat of clear polish just to seal the deal.
Please excuse the poor nail painting skills, I'm no artist by anyone's measures...
Do any of you own any of the Muppet's for OPI polishes? If so what are your hits and misses?
As always questions and comments are more than welcome; they're encouraged!
