Re-Gen Oil

Hello all, hope you are all well!

Today I'm going to share with you a little miracle product I found in the most unusual place. Bio-Oil has been around for what feels like years and although I've always wanted to give it a go, the price and the mixed reviews have always put me off taking the plunge.

This little beauty I found in a Home Bargains store in my local town for a grand total of £2.49  for 75ml (although I'm guessing if you don't have one of those, Savers or perhaps Bodycare might stock it too; and if not, there's always the internet!). This is a huge saving when compared to the price of a bottle of Bio-Oil so I took a punt and happily skipped home with a bottle.

Due to the price I was really sceptical but seeing as the price was so low, I wouldn't have minded too much if the product completely failed to do anything. Suffice to say, I am in no way disappointed, more over the moon!

I guess the first thing to say  is what I actually used it for.... Well, despite my age I do in fact have a small number of stretch marks on my inner thighs which are the result of a growth spurt during my teens; I also gave the oil a whirl on some scars I've had for years to see whether it could work any magic on those too.

With regards to the stretch marks, I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am with the results. I really wasn't expecting miracles, but in my opinion that's what I've seen. Though they weren't particularly hideous, I knew they were there and they really affected my confidence, especially given the fact that I've never had a child, nor have I ever been overweight. I just had the 'why me?' feeling all the time.

At the time of writing this, I've been applying the oil three times a day religiously for over three weeks and although they are still there they are barely noticeable now. Any purple tones have faded to a shade just paler than my actual skin colour and they appear far slimmer than before. I am so delighted, especially as summer is right around the corner (though you wouldn't be able to tell!).

Even better news, is that despite my religious applications, I've barely made a dent in the bottle - bonus!!

So Re-Gen Oil comes highly recommended for stretch marks. Scars on the other hand not so much. I've been following a similar routine as the stretch marks and I've seen zero improvement sadly. So a tad disappointing but as I didn't purchase the product specifically for reducing the appearance of scars it wasn't too much of a let down. But you never know, the scars have been there for years, so it might just take a while longer. So I plan on sticking at it and will continue to update you all on my progress at regular intervals.

Have any of you tried Bio-Oil or Re-Gen Oil? What were your experiences? Are there any products you think would do an even better job? I would love to hear from you all, so feel free to leave any comments or questions you might have below!

Kirstie xoxo
