Banishing Blackheads: Update

by - 13:19:00

Hello all, hope you're well!

For those of you who have read the first post in this series, you'll know what's to come. For those of you who haven't, I've started a new skin care regime with the aim of eliminating/ reducing the size of the blackheads around my nose.

I've been using the Garnier Pure Active range for just over a week now and I'm disappointed to say that the regime has completely dried my skin out, despite thoroughly moisturising it.

My cheeks and chin are borderline flaky but my t-zone is a total disaster zone! It's looks as if I'm overcoming some serious sunburn and the skin is peeling and flaking in large pieces.

Sorry to be so graphic but it really has made a mess! I can't even wear makeup at the moment as it just looks horrendous!

That said I really don't want to give up as I was seeing results. So I've given my skin a little break and have been pampering it with a more moisturising routine.

The No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser and Day cream for oily/combination skin have been such life savers and I'm pleased to say my skin is recovering!

So from my experiences so far I wouldn't advise this routine for those with dry or even borderline dry skin as I can't imagine what it would do!

Keep checking back for the latest updates! I'm determined that I will see this through and hopefully see more results!

Have any of you lovely lot experienced this type of dryness? How did you combat it? I'd love to hear from you!

As always, questions and comments are more than welcomed!
