Festive Favourites

A big Christmassy hello to you all!

Today I'm going to give you a run down of all the products I will not be living without over the coming festive period. I know these posts are quite popular so I'm going to try and stick to the trend of doing a monthly favourites post from now on -- an early new years resolution shall we call it.

Anyways, Christmas and New Years is one of the craziest times of year so I need effective products which aren't going to cost the earth, but make me feel a million dollars. The items to follow do just that for me...

They aren't particularly glamourous items I don't think but every girl needs them in some form or the next...

Excuse picture quality - there is a serious lack of natural light in my house at the moment so my cameras giving me a rough ride..

1) First up is a toothpaste... I know... fancy right... Like many, I am forever lusting after whiter teeth and the Oral B 3D White has done a pretty amazing job on mine I must say. I've tried so many different brands it's like I have an obsession but for as long as they make this one, I will never look back. It won't make your teeth look that dazzling shade of white but they look what I like to call a healthier white. As you can tell from the  picture, I am almost done with this tube but don't fear I have backups!

I highly suggest you try it for at least two weeks and I'd like to think everyone could see the difference. It's amazing and is regularly on offer so check it out!

2) MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle - my skin's really dull at the moment so this peachy wonder just gives my skin the lift that it so desperately needs. It really brings my skin back to life when I'm going out so I'm very grateful for its existence.

3) Batiste Dry Shampoo - I'm just going to come out straight and say it... I haven't got the time to be showering everyday and waiting for my hair to dry naturally; as much as I wish I did I just don't. So thank God for this stuff. I'm pretty sure most people will have tried it at one point or another and I've not found another I like better. Keep up the good work! If it weren't for this, I'd be attending parties either looking like Stig of the Dump or with a paper bag on my head... Neither a good look for the festive period.

4) Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss - this has been neglected by me for quite a while but I am so, so glad I have it. Lately my lips have been cracking and bleeding all over the show (damn winter weather) and no matter how much lip balm I piled on they haven't healed. I started applying this just yesterday and they're smooth, soft and no longer sore. It's been a god send and I can't believe I've left it unloved for as long as I have. However, it's not the cheapest remedy so if any of you have any super duper recommendations for chapped lips I'd be thankful!

5) Clinique All About Eyes - Hands down the best eye cream ever. Yes it's pricey, but it lasts for ages so it's a great investment. I've been using it for quite some time now and my dark circles are noticeably reduced and puffiness from late nights subsides really quickly. It's truly wonderful stuff and I would recommend this a thousand times over.

6) Benefit Bad Gal Mascara - Another fairly recent discovery of mine this one is. It gives the look of dramatic lashes without clumpiness and the associated spider lashes. I love a bit of lash drama but I don't like that spidery look so this is my top pick for party worthy lashes. Again a tad pricey but you can often get samples with magazines so you can pick it up for a lot less - which is how I seem to get hold of mine.

7) No 7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream (combination) - not actually that spectacular in general, but during winter it's serving me well. It deeply moisturises my skin whilst keeping shine at bay something none of my previous moisturisers could do. Great stuff for winter.

8) Last but not least is the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette - this is a real hero product for me. I'm a total novice when it comes to eye shadows. I used to never wear them, but after purchasing this I've never looked back. From a subtle day to sultry night look, this bad boy can do them all without the need to source complementary shades. It's the most I've ever spent on a palette but it's worth every penny. Long live eye shadow!

I'd love to hear what you guys rely on to get you through the party season! Any suggestions that I've left off mine?
