Dr Jart+ Regenerating BB Cream
Afternoon guys!
Today I'm sharing with you a base product that is so fantastic it has effectively made all my other foundations redundant. It's the Dr Jart+ Regenerating BB Cream which you can find in Boots for £21.
I really don't know where to start with this one because I've so many good things I want to get out there about this product.
I guess I should explain why this beauty ended up in my basket in the first place huh! To put it bluntly I've become tired of being underwhelmed by foundations. I have an extensive collection and there's not one I would consider 'perfect' for me. The closest I have to a perfect foundation is Double Wear by Estee Lauder, but even that struggles against my increasingly oily skin.
With my foundation frustration in tow I hotfooted it to Boots in search of a base product I could potentially love and this is the point where Dr Jart entered my life.
Normally I'd begin with the myriad of make-up stands but this time I went straight for the skincare section. It might just be my application but foundations don't sit well on my skin at all so I figured that I should instead look for a decent tinted moisturiser or a BB cream (there are enough choices on the market!).
After what seemed like hundreds of swatches (all either too orange or too thin) I found the Dr Jart+ Regenerating one which is the perfect shade for my fair skin and provides really great coverage (medium but definitely buildable to full). Much to my delight Boots were also offering 1/3 off the entire Dr Jart range so I managed to bag mine for £13.99 instead of £21. Bargain!
Now onto the product.
Getting the boring stuff out of the way I will first say that the packaging is oh so luxe! The silver tube with the slick black labelling and cap looks a treat on my shelf.
The real treat however is the cream inside. It's thick without being heavy, covers without being cakey and is dewy without being greasy. Need I say more?
One thing I will say is that it is a tad paler that the rest of the Dr Jart BB creams so if you do have a more medium skin tone give it a swatch first! That aside I think it's great that us pale gorls have a BB cream that requires much less blending than the more orangey 'light' shades.

UPDATE
I have now given this product a thorough road test and I am totally head over heels for it. I've not used any of my foundations since I bought it and I now only need to conceal under my eyes. It's an absolute winner to me and I have already picked up a backup because I couldn't ever be without it.
I'm going to do a face of the day with it soon so you can see how it looks so check back for that.
In the meantime have you guys tried any of the Dr Jart BB creams... I'd love to know what you thought.
Kirstie
