When I started blogging it was purely for fun. I loved make-up and I wanted to share that love with the world. As time went on and I began reading other blogs, I noticed that my shopping habits changed.

I was caught up in the hype. I stopped browsing for products that stood out to me in favour of those others had raved about. I shied away from products no one had spoke about and I've missed out because of that I think.

The straw that broke the Camels back was the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum. Before blogging I would never have dreamt of dropping £40+ on a skincare item ever. Yes it is very good, but it's an aspirational product for many and I feel that my blog should feature products that can be accessed by all. 

With that in mind, I'm going back to where it all began. From now on I'm going to be more budget conscious and will keep the high end to a minimum. I want you all to be able to read and enjoy and if something does take your fancy I don't want you breaking the bank to get it. 

So that is my pledge to you. Here's to getting my head out of the beauty clouds and back into the real word.
