Birthday Get Ready With Me

What Birthday would be complete without a bubble bath? To kick things off I re-stocked my favourite Honeymania Bubble Bath Melt from the Body Shop. This smells heavenly and fills my bath to the brim with bubbles. To keep me occupied I had Modern Family on catch up. Anyone else stick their laptop on the loo lid while they watch?

After whiling away a good hour or so it's time to hit the shower and give my hair and body some TLC.

For hair I've been all about the Garnier Ultimate Blends Silky Smoother line. It smells wonderful and my hairs in the best condition it's ever been. For a drugstore, cheap shampoo and conditioner they're amazing and I'd recommend you check them out.

Turning to body I've gotten back onto the Soap and Glory bandwagon. I overused this line a year or so back and fell out of love with their products but I'm back for now. Their Sugar Crush shower gel is a real treat for fruity/citrus scent lovers. Five or so pumps lathered up and I've ready to head out of the shower.

Fresh out of the shower it's time to tan.The Cocoa Brown Dark tan is my go to choice. I love how straightforward it is to apply and how flawless the results are. After a good few hours I simply hop back into the shower and rinse off the guide colour.

Tan rinsed off it's essential you whack a moisturiser on. Soap and Glory's Butter Yourself lotion has been on my shelf for a while and I've finally gotten round to using it. I've been slathering this on daily and I've really noticed a difference in my skin.

After this I did my skincare routine but I didn't want to bore you with that as I have a detailed post on that. With that said it's on to the hair treatments.

I apply a blob of the Charles Worthington Moisture Seal leave in conditioner to the mid lengths and massage in well. After this I smooth a a pump and a bit of the Macadamia Healing Oil through my ends to keep them smooth and soft.  Voila hair done and just leave it to dry naturally.

For nails I've been religiously wearing Maybelline's Mint for Life. It's the perfect mint shade, lasts so well on my nails and is cheap as chips. Wonderful.

Now onto the important stuff... Make-up.

I'm headed out to dinner so a flawless face is more than essential. Primer wise I used the Laura Mercier Radiance all over my face and then dotted Benefit's Porefessional where I needed filling in a bit. For foundation I turned to my beloved YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat which gives the right amount of coverage with a subtle glow. It's perfect for occasions.

I've been having terrible breakouts along my jaw recently so I had to use a heavy duty concealer to cover the damage. Nothing will do but the Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer. It really is a gem.

When going out you want everything to stay in place so to achieve that I used Nars Translucent Crystal Setting Powder. A light dusting keeps this matte but by no means flat.

As I've tanned I need to warm my complexion up a little bit to makes things look more uniform. Nars Laguna is the perfect product for the job. It's such a flattering shade and it really warms without being any bit orange.

I normally would stop at the bronzer but seeing as it's a special occasion I had to whack on a bit of blush. My favourite at the moment is Nars Orgasm. I know it's so cliche but it's the perfect peachy pink and it makes me look so healthy. Love it.

For eyes I pulled out the big guns. Tom Fords Nude Dip Palette combined with lashings of Benefits They're Real and I'm good to go.

Well not before my brows got pampered a little. Nothing new or fancy on this front. I used my beloved Sleek Brow Stylist in the shade light to brush through and fill them in.

Now on to the finishing touches.

A slick of Tom Fords Wild Ginger lipstick and a spritz of Coco Mademoiselle and I'm ready to hit the town.

Now what to wear...? Eek.
