Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

I'd normally leave it a little bit longer before posting a skincare review but I've seen such great results with this already that I had to share. But first, the official blurb...

'This new generation non-foaming cleanser restores radiance
and reveals supremely soft skin.

Oskia's potent blend of bio-available vitamins and fruit enzymes quickly and gently lifts impurities and make-up while actively illuminating and nourishing the skin. Once applied on skin the pink gel turns into a light oil. Pumpkin enzymes deeply cleanse pores and thoroughly remove dull skin cells without irritation while Vitamins C&E, known for their restorative properties, help fortify and protect the skin against free radicals and environmental damage. Skin is left clean, balanced and feeling wonderfully soft and smooth.'

Also for those who are curious it is free from artificial fragrances; colourants; silicones; parabens; sulphates and propylene glycol. It was also formulated by a team of Doctors, Nutritionists and Cosmetic Scientists. Always good things to know although I'm not sure where a nutritionist comes into it.

Schpiel aside here's what I can tell you...

It smells faintly of Turkish Delight which might be down to the rose that's in it. It's a lovely scent and gives the product a spa-like vibe.

A little goes a long way. I take a single pump, massage between my fingers so it turns into and oil and then massage in for a good minute or two. After sufficient time has passed I add a little water so it emulsifies and massage for a little longer. A quick rinse off and I'm ready to go.

Now onto the most important thing, the results. After a weeks use my skin is noticeably softer and definitely more radiant. This could totally be the placebo effect but I genuinely believe this cleanser has made a difference to my skin. It's an absolute joy to use and I look forward to this step in my routine every morning. Even on those days where I just don't want to get out of bed I push through because I love the me time my skincare routine affords me at the moment.

From the official blurb you can see it contains some notable ingredients and the website kindly breaks down what they do...

Lactobacillus/Cucurbita Pepo Ferment Extract (Pumpkin Enzymes) deeply cleanses pores and thoroughly removes dull skin cells without irritation for a balanced complexion.
Vitamin A Palmitate improves the appearance of sun damaged, dry and mature skin to reveal soft, supple texture.
Vitamins C & E, known for their restorative properties, help fortify and protect the skin against free radical & environmental damage.
Starflower Oil, a powerful source of gamma-linolenic-acid (Omega 6), Vitamin B² Magnesium lift out impurities and help improve elasticity & firmness while restoring and enhancing the lipid barrier to soften and nourish.
MSM, the most bio-available form of sulphur, known for its detoxifying, collagen boosting and anti-inflammatory properties, helps soothe and calm.

The only two I can comment that I've seen working are the enzymes and the MSM as my skin is much brighter and appears a lot calmer. The others are a bonus really and I can't wait to see if any of the other actives start to change my skin over the coming weeks.

For those of you not so keen on the price I truly believe skincare is an area where you should spend a little more. At £28 this is by no means cheap but the experience and results so far have put this on the fast track to holy grail status. If you have the money I'd highly recommend a splurge, if not I'd say the No 7 Melting Gel cleanser is pretty close in terms of consistency and feel.

Safe to say I'm delighted with this pick and I'm really liking the direction my skincare is going in at the moment. The jury is still out on the Vichy products I've picked up so check back to see what I thought of those soon.

I'd love to know what you lovely lot think of this cleanser. Have you tried it or are you lusting after it? Let me know down below and also feel free to leave your recommendations too because who doesn't love a beauty bargain.
