Everyday Make-up - Spring Edition

by - 14:44:00

With the temperatures creeping up and the sun showing its face more often I thought it would be a good time to change up the contents of my make-up bag. I've banished the foundation and heavy shadow in favour of pops of pink and natural glowing skin. If that sounds up your street keep reading...

For skin I've been using a combination of Benefits High Beam with the Dr Jart Regenerating Beauty Balm. Mix a good few swipes of the High Beam with a blob of the BB cream and buff onto skin for a lit from within complexion in seconds. This for me provides enough coverage but for any blemishes I've been going in with the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. It's high coverage but natural looking and I love it.

To get that rosy glow I've been reaching for Posie tint. It gives the most natural, fresh looking pop of pink and is an absolute doddle to apply. As this look is all about the glow, after this I've been going back in with the High Beam on the tops of my cheek bones, bridge of my nose and cupids bow. It's such a pretty highlight and it looks so natural. And that's it for skin.

Moving onto eyes, I've been enjoying the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the shade Pink Gold. I avoided this for a while because it made me look ill but now I've mastered it I'm in love. I take a small amount on my ring finger and apply to the lid. When I've got enough colour I take my Zoeva blending brush and work it in till it looks like a subtle sheeny pink. For me this is the most important step as the blending makes the colour look natural and pretty on me. Lids tended to I apply two coats of Soap and Glory's Thick and Fast mascara and I'm good to go.

Onto brows I'm still using my trusty combination of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown with the Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark blonde. These two together give me the brows of my dreams.

Last but not least are the lips. I do usually chop and change this quite frequently but as of late Revlon's Lip Butter in Sweet Tart has been a constant for me. It's a bright pink without being completely in your face and you can build the colour up or dial it down which I love.

And that's my spring make-up look. Let me know what you guys have been sporting for spring and if you've tried the look. I always love hearing from you guys.
