Zoeva Eye Brushes - My Picks

L-R - 221 Luxe Soft Crease ; 231 Luxe Petit Crease; 228 Luxe Crease; 221 Luxe Soft Crease.

Zoeva's Rose Gold Brush sets have been doing the rounds recently and people have been raving about the quality, price etc. I wasn't in the market for a new full set of brushes but instead invested in some of their crease brushes.

I've had my eye on the MAC 217 for a while but always balked at the price. I read up on the Zoeva 221 and most people concurred that it was a good dupe for the MAC one so I swiftly added two of these to my basket.

I've had them for just over three months now and I'm pleased to say the 221 is everything I thought it would be and more. If I was on a desert island and I was only allowed one eye brush, it would be this one. It can do everything from applying a wash of colour to the entire lid to carving out the crease. It's really wonderful and so soft. As much as I love the Smashbox one I was using, it was starting to get a little scratchy.

The other two brushes were a bit of an impulse I'll be honest. The 231 is brilliant for adding darker shades to the outer v of the eye and along the lash lines. All the detailed work, the Petit Crease can take care of. It's also quite good for pinpoint concealing (hello multitasking).

The 228 is the only one I'm not crazy about and it's for the simple fact that the taper at the top is just too pointy for me. It struggles to blend and the finer end at the top is terribly scratchy. Doing the windscreen wiper motion with this isn't fun unless you have a really light hand. And I mean really light.

That being said I'm so impressed with the quality of these brushes. For under £7 the quality is definitely there and they don't look cheap either. As a bonus you also get a little clear case to protect them. It's safe to say I will be exploring the range a little more when my other brushes start to show their age.

I'd love to hear you guys' recommendations. Are there any must have Zoeva brushes I'm missing. Feel free to leave your links and comments down  below.

    1. Hi Giulia,

Thanks for your comment. You can indeed. I've used all of my Zoeva Eye brushes for smaller jobs on the face. The 228 would definitely be ideal for setting your undereye concealer and concealing in general. It's nice and soft too so will buff in the product seamlessly.
