What's In My Carry On: Beauty

So, I'm off to Munich this weekend *claps hands*. To say I'm excited is an understatement. I've not been away since my trip to NYC all those moons ago nor have I had time off work since then. While it may only be a weekend, I'm going on an adventure so cheers to that. With every trip comes the chore of packing (though we secretly all love doing it). This time I only have hand luggage; shocker right? With this comes a number of limitations and a lot of lists. When it comes to make-up I've pretty much hit the nail on the head.

While seven items may still seem excessive, I consider it a triumph. Maybe I'll come back and prefer things this way... I'm kidding! For base I'll be sticking to my trusty EE Cream from Estee Lauder (£34). For blemishes et al I'm bringing along the Nars (£22)  (long name but everyones favourite) concealer. It covers well and doesn't really budge on me (touch wood).

For eyes I'm trying something new and packing the Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow (£6.90). Mine's a purple/taupey shade and it brings out the green in me eyes beautifully. It's a no nonsense product that blends easily and doesn't budge. What more could you want when you're on the go. I'm also bringing along the Charlotte Tilbury Rock n Kohl eyeliner (£19)in Barbarella Brown just in case I want to darken my look of an evening. I don't need to say too much about this one as you already know how much I love it. For mascara I'm taking my tried and true Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof. There really couldn't be any other could there?

My brows are remaining under the care of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (£15.50). You know the drill with this one. It does the job, is super handy and there really is a shade for everyone. You might have noticed that a brow gel is noticeably absent from my line-up. That's because I need to purchase one, preferably before I reach the airport. I've been using the Rimmel Brow This Way (£3.99) and for want of a better word, it sucks. It doesn't hold and has a horribly, hard gel appearance. Avoid.

This next one is me mixing things up. I had originally planned on packing a blush/bronzer and all that shebang but I planted myself back on earth and realised I couldn't take everything. With that I've decided that my lipstick will also be my blush for the weekend. For a pretty pop of pink on my lips and cheeks it had to be Blake's Delicate Rose (£6.99) from L'Oreal.

And there you have it. Check bag for my travel skincare and essentials posts.
