2015 Favourites
I'm sure you all know the drill with these posts by now. Today I will be sharing with you the products that have brought my joy in 2015. There's quite a mixed bag and I'll try not to ramble so lets dig in.
First off can we talk about make-up sponges. They experienced quite the revival this year and this one from Beauty Bay (sadly discontinued but the Real Techniques one is also great) has really changed my relationship with my base make-up. Sure brushes were great, but the result was never quite wow enough for me. This sponge blends everything flawlessly but my skin still looks like skin. It's fantastic and I've stepped away from brushes in lieu of this pink wonder.
Not wanting to get into a full on love in, but the next products have revolutionised my haircare routine. OGX shampoo's/conditioners have been on my radar for a while but I finally took the plunge this year. Safe to say I will never be purchasing from any other brand again. My hair was never in bad shape to begin with but I feel like it has more life since switching over. I balked at the price the first time I bought them (£6.99 each) but they last so much longer it's worth the initial outlay.
Right, onto the next one. This time an oldy but a goodie. I'm of course talking about the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I've had this a while now and we've gone back and forth but when blended with the sponge, it's perfection. It conceals whilst being completely natural. Safe to say this has become a make-up bag staple once again.
Sticking with the make-up theme, I give you the NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair. I've only had this a month or so but it's been on my lips pretty much everyday at some point or other. It's a lovely formula and the nudey, milky pink is ever so flattering. This girl is now a gloss lover.
The last make-up bag staple has been Charlotte Tilbury's Rock n Khol eyeliner in Barbarella Brown. It's superly pigmented, stays put and basically you need it. It's a tad on the pricey side, but it's by far the best eyeliner I've ever owned. Obsessed.
To go with my eyeliner love, I also had to give a shoutout to my Zoeva crease brush collection. These brushes have allowed me to completely step up my make-up game this year and I will never be without them again. They're super soft, don't shed and look professional too.
Last but not least are my two skincare loves. My absolute favourite discovery of 2015 has been the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. If you want glowy, perfected skin this is what you need. At the moment it's pretty hard to get hold of in the UK but patience is a virtue and it's worth the wait.
To round things off, I give you the Superfacialist Vitamin C cleansing oil. From the scent to the results I can't recommend this enough. No matter what your skin type you absolutely need to try this. My skin is brighter, clearer and it can really shift any kind of make-up. For just over £10 you can't go wrong.
And those were my loves of 2015, here's to 2016 and hopefully some more amazing beauty discoveries.
