Fitness Favourites
Unless you've been stuck in the dark ages you'll be aware that fit is the new LBD. As a population we're trying to eat cleaner and exercise more, and frankly who can blame us. When you're bombarded with images of beautiful people, it's only natural to want that look.
For me fitness has never been a fad. I don't exercise because it's on trend, I exercise because I love it. Shopping may be a thrill for some, but no handbag can give me the same elation as finishing a run.
With the New Year not far behind at this point I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite fitness people, things and the likes to get you into the groove.
Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - this was a real game changer for me. I'd been attending a regular gym and really hating it. Her simple program re-energised me and set me back on track. While I no longer follow it to the letter, I always make sure to incorporate some of her circuits into my weekly workouts. They take 28 minutes, get your heart racing and with time you will see a difference.
Blogilates - sticking with fitness personalities, I give you Cassey Ho. This woman is incredible. If you're looking for serious fitspiration; kick ass workouts and yummy recipe ideas head to her YouTube account ASAP. She's the best friend you never had and she's brilliant at what she does. What more could you possibly ask for? This next video is my currently obsession, get ready to feel the burn.
Nike+ Running App - this is a recent addition to my workout arsenal and I can't believe I've never had it before. I'm currently using the 5k coaching option in the hopes I'll be more consistent with my cardio. So far so good. With this app you can use the coach like I do, to work towards a goal or just free run. It's free and it's great, so what are you waiting for?
Fitbit Charge HR - I've mentioned this before on here and it should come as no surprise that I still love it. While it's not the cheapest bit of kit it's kept me motivated and the daily monitoring got me to my weight goal no problems. It's an investment for sure, but treat yourself. You're worth it.
Victoria's Secret Knockout Running Tights - I'm onto my second pair of these beauties and I'm still impressed. They look great on, have a handy pocket and really help keep me warm/cool accordingly. While they are on the pricier side, I had my first pair for over a year with no bobbling, pulling or sagging. Team with your favourite VS sports bra and you're o your way to angel status.
Those are a few of my fitness faves but stick around for recipes, workouts and much more.
