Pixi Glow Tonic

Acid toners have become a skincare must have recently. They exfoliate the skin gently and effectively (goodbye red, sore skin!) and are seen as key to glowing skin. I've mentioned this product before but was wary of giving it a big thumbs up before a thorough road test.

It's finally been 3+ months so I now feel I can go ahead and bleat on about how great this stuff is.

First of all what is it? In short, it's a toner. It's a step we all do but we aren't really sure why. Well this toner gives you a reason not to skip this step. This 'tonic' promises to '"even out skintone" and smooth the skin. I'm sure most of us are in need of a bit of that eh?

In terms of what does all this, the active ingredient is Glycolic Acid (5%). This is combined with some skin loving ingredients (aloe and ginseng) for a truly refreshing skin treat.

As I said earlier I've been using this for a little over three months in the evenings and I'm officially converted. I've been pretty much loyal to the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads (£22) but this has achieved better results without any of the redness. To use I add some to a cotton pad and wipe all over my face and neck. Follow this with the rest of your routine and you're good to go. My skin is much calmer, even and radiant and I'm understandably thrilled. My skin is starting to feel like its old self again.

So there you have it, it's really as good as everyone says. I think my only gripe is that it's still relatively difficult to get hold of. It's often sold out and most of the time you have to add shipping costs which can bump up the cost significantly. A heads up though, I purchased mine from M&S  (£18) and they frequently do offers and free Click and Collect. Win.
