Ole Henriksen Empower Foaming Milk Cleanser
It's here, it's here! I've been dying to try something from Ole's line for the longest time. He either didn't have what I needed, or the product wasn't in stock, but today is the day. I'd been using the Kiehl's cleanser which foams slightly, and I wanted something similar that was cruelty free. Step in Ole's Empower cleanser.
I've taken a real punt on this one. There is literally nothing about this online, and what is out there isn't that useful. When I'm buying skincare, I usually rely on reviews so this is different for me. I actually purchased it based on the claims made by the brand and that was it. My first blind faith purchase, and hopefully not my last.
Anyways, onto what suckered me in. The product blurb says it fights free radicals; hydrates and gently resurfaces. I will gladly take all of that, please and thank you. In terms of ingredients, it has Arctic Cloudberry; Nordic cotton and willow bark. But what are they supposed to do?
According to the box, Arctic Cloudberry protects from free radical damage; Nordic cotton provides weightless hydration and willow bark has exfoliating properties. So as you can see, the key ingredients are linked directly to the products claims.
But how does it perform? On first impressions, pretty well. From the milky liquid, you get a really delicate lather that cleans beautifully. For once, I can truly say that my skin didn't feel the tiniest bit tight after use. As we know, skincare takes a while to see results. On first impressions I really like this product, but I'll be sure to keep you updated if anything changes.
So yeah, I'm really happy with my purchase and I can't wait to explore the rest of the range. If you've any recommendations be sure to let me know in the comments.
