Bumble and Bumble Surf Collection Review
I'll start off by saying that these products cost more than I'd usually spend on haircare. That being said, I've also never had results quite like it, so I probably should start spending a bit more.
As you can imagine, the line promises fresh off the beach waves, and it actually delivers to a degree. I say that because I think you need all three products to really get the full effect. I've tried the Surf Spray by itself and it's good, but not great. When you combine it with the shampoo and conditioner however, it's amazing.
The above pics are after using all three together, and the end result is just what I hoped it would be. To get my hair like that, I shampooed and conditioned as normal first with the Surf Foam Wash and Surf Creme Rinse. After showering, I towel tried my hair a little, till it was damp and then sprayed the lengths liberally with the Surf Spray. To finish I blow dried my hair, scrunching it as I went and voila. For me after these results, they're a real winning combination but I can imagine they aren't to everyones taste.
The big bug bear I can see, is that after shampooing/conditioning the hair never really feels squeaky clean. There's definitely residue left behind, no matter how long you rinse for. For me that's not too much of an issue, but those with oilier scalps might want to give this one a miss.
Results aside, the products themselves are a pleasure to use. They're well scented, well packaged and well, they work. You can't really ask for more than that can you? I suppose the only issue really is the pricing. For me, they're definitely special occasion products. I'm currently away so I think that warrants using them. As for everyday hair care I think I'll be sticking with my trusty OGX Coconut Water products.
