More To Life Than Make-Up

From the title, I can only imagine what you expect will follow. Don't worry it's not going to be a massive rant (though I could be tempted), I'm just having a bit of a moment with make-up at the moment. A love/hate moment. See, as much as I love wearing make-up, I actually despise applying it.

Anything that involves brushes or a sponge is not happening right now, but you know what it's not a bad thing. My little make-up 'strop' has actually been quite an eye opener. I've learnt that I don't need all my tools, because the guy upstairs gave me fingers which work just as well. The only real exception is powder products, that s**t needs a brush. Other than that I've not used any brushes and I'm happily surviving.

For my all finger face here's what I've been using...

For base, I've been concocting my own. I've got a bunch of foundations and Nars Illuminators that need using up, so I've been adding a blob of each to my daily moisturiser. I'm currently using Hot Sand with Vitalumiere Aqua in B20, in case you were wondering. When combined, the result is everyday pefection. It has enough coverage, protects from the sun and has a good amount of glow going on. Someone should bottle this stuff!

On my lips and cheeks, I've actually been using Charlotte Tilbury's '1975 Red'. I put two dots on my cheeks and blend with my thumb, and then pat a small amount onto my lips. I recently put this product into a regrets post, but I did say I'd give it another shot. It got that shot this week and now I'm sad I didn't buy two. With a light hand it's the most divine shade of Coral.

To finish off it's back to normal service with my Maybelline Lash Sensational Intense Black Mascara and L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper. If you can do those two jobs with your fingers, good for you. I can't sadly.

And that's it. Less that five minutes and you'll be out the door. What's not to love about that?
