Empties

Like my bin? Me too. I've had my eye on this for a while but I only took the plunge this week. Needless to say I'm now wondering why I didn't pull the trigger sooner. If you're into having a house full of copper I actually got this from H&M. Anyways, this post isn't supposed to be about the bin, more about its contents.

I usually ramble on these posts so today I am determined to keep it short and sweet. To do that, I'm going to list them with just a sentence or too about the item. Let's roll!

La Roche Posay Serozinc x 2 - I go through roughly one of these a month. I love it and I've already repurchased. If you've got angry/reactive skin definitely give this a try.

Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Brighten Skin Renew Cleansing Oil - This was my second bottle and although I do love it, I've yet to repurchase. I'm still deciding whether to stick to what I know, or try something completely different. Thoughts?

Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes - I bought these for when I travelled to the states. Other than travelling I don't use them, nor do I recommend them so I won't be repurchasing. Also, this time around I noticed that these ones burned and made my skin quite angry. Not good.

Original Source Strawberry and Pink Peppercorn Shower Gel - It's vegan, smells amazing and is pretty much always £1, so you can't really go wrong. It really goes without saying that I'll be grabbing more of their stuff.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Intense Black Mascara -  First off, this mascara is in a league of its own. It's affordable, truly budge-proof and makes my lashes look fantastic. I'm currently using something else, but when the time comes you can be sure I'll be picking this up.

Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate - By now my love for this face oil is pretty well documented. This is one of the products where I would absolutely suggest you believe the hype. Come morning you will have the skin of a goddess (hopefully) and you too will be hooked. As with most things, I've moved on and I'm not all that sure that the grass is greener. I'm thinking this will be back in my life sooner rather than later.

Nars Light Reflecting Setting Powder Pressed - I'm honestly still not sure what to make of this product. It didn't keep shine at bay particularly well but when first applied my skin was matte-ish with a subtle glow. I don't know but I wasn't impressed enough to run out an repurchase. Another point to note is that is crumbled and pretty much died all over my floor when I got to the end of the pan of product. So much waste!

Calvin Klein CK One - When I first met my partner, this was his scent. He had a half full bottle he wanted to toss out, so I kindly rescued it. On home days or bad days, I'd spritz it around me and I'd instantly feel better. The scent of this takes me back to nine years ago and all the happy memories so it's a forever favourite. In terms of repurchasing, I bought another bottle for my partner in the hopes he will douse himself in it daily. Fingers crossed!

Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray - Since trying the Got2B one and the Bumble one, this seems just average. It does add some texture/wave but not enough to wow me and it's pretty sticky too. I've tried it on both damp and dry hair and the results have always been pretty lacklustre. It's safe to say that I won't be going back to this one anytime soon.

Dove Derma Spa Goodness Body Lotion - This lotion is absolutely pants. I don't know why but this stuff balled up on me like crazy no matter so much or little I applied. If the lotion isn't sinking in, how's my skin benefitting? I don't think it is. For the price, I was so disappointed with this one. Dove are pretty much known for moisture but this flaked off before it got a chance to do anything. On a more positive note, it smells good.

OGX Coconut Water Shampoo - This has to be the best shampoo I think I've ever tried. It smells like a tropical vacation and cleans my hair without any hint of drying it out. Superdrug recently had OGX on offer and I actually cleared their shelves of both the shampoo and conditioner in this scent. I felt like one of those crazy coupon queens but I couldn't pass them up when they were so cheap.

John Frieda Colour Renew Tone-Correcting Shampoo - I've had this in my shower since my blonde days and I finally finished it this week. When I ran out of my trusty OGX I used this to tide me over. If you've got blonde hair I do recommend it but for my brown hair I just don't need it anymore.

Dove Invisible Dry Anti-Perspirant Deodorant - Another favourite. This is pretty much the only regular deodorant I've found that actually works. It keeps sweat at bay, doesn't mark my clothes and smells great. If I can't find this, I rely on the Dove Maximum Protection ones which isn't ideal because they're pretty pricey.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask - I've had this product a while and although I used to like it, I just don't anymore. It's too thick and heavy and my skin just doesn't seem to respond to it anymore. Left on overnight, my skin doesn't seem any more plump or hydrated so I think it's time to move on.

Dove Original Anti-Perspirant - This was another item from my travels and you know what I actually quite enjoyed it. I'm not overly keen on the traditional Dove scent but the product itself actually worked a treat.

And that lovely people of the internet was my beauty trash. I'm going to get all this recycled and get me an iced coffee now; wild weekend right! Hope you have a great one too guys!
