5 Beauty Websites You Should Bookmark Today
As you can probably tell, I spend a lot of my time on the internet. But besides Blogger, what other sites can't I go a day without visiting? Read on to find out.
This site isn't updated as often as I'd like but I'm forever discovering new articles, so I always give it a hit. From their motto to the content itself, it's inclusion on this list was a no brainer. From their famed #ITGTopShelfie posts, to all the backstage tips a girl could need, this site has it all. Think of ITG as you're much cooler big sister. They'll take you under their wing and you'll soon have all the beauty know how you'll ever need.
If you aren't already sold, they also have a highly coveted beauty brand called Glossier. While the full range has yet to make its way to the UK, I've already got a list as long as my arm for when the day finally arrives. Get in line ladies and gents! If you can't quite wait, you can get a little feel for it via Net-A-Porter who stock their Balm Dot Com.
Refinery 29
First off, this is so much more than a beauty site. You'll learn just as many tips for your iPhone as you would for your skin and I love it. It's a healthy mix of all things news, lifestyle and beauty and I'm sure that there's an article on there for everyone. In their 'about' section they say that the aim of the site is 'to help women live a more stylish and creative life'. I can honestly say that I come away from each visit feeling more inspired. Whether it's trying a new workout or switching up my style, I always get something from it.
Refinery 29 makes that learning process interesting and most importantly relatable. In short, I'd highly recommend giving it a look if you haven't already.
Reddit
At first, this giant online forum can seem intimidating but with a little patience you can strike gold. Even if you can't find an answer, you can ask your question and there's a pretty good chance you'll get a reply. From advice on your pets, to what the best waterproof mascara is, Reddit can (and probably will) help. To get you started I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite boards... R/Muacjdiscussion R/SkincareAddiction R/Aww. See what you think and have a look around, it's not called the front page of the internet for nothing.
Allure
I couldn't not include the 'beauty expert' in this post. I'd say this is perhaps as close as you can get to an online beauty bible. In the states they have a hugely popular glossy magazine but for us UK gals, it's all about the website. From celebrity interviews to everything you need to know about the hottest new beauty launches; Allure has got you covered. They also do their Allure Best In Beauty awards every year and if a product makes the cut, there's a good chance it will end up in your beauty cabinet.
The magazine was first published in 1991, so it's safe to say you're in good hands with Allure. If they don't know about it, then it's probably not worth knowing.
Feelunique
My picks so far have been purely reading material, so I thought I'd switch things up in and throw in a shopping option. After all, once you've read all of the above, there's a good chance you'll want to put in an online order ASAP.
Feelunique market themselves as the 'destination for beauty' and they definitely don't let you down on that promise. They stock a massive array of brands, ship internationally and are forever throwing discount codes at you: what is there to hate?
I'm not ashamed to admit that I place an order with them roughly every month or so and I've never had any issues. I get what I want, for a good price and it doesn't take ages to get to me either. I honestly can't fault them, so next time you need to top up your supplies, give them a look.
And that completes my favourite five. If I've missed off your favourite, shout out in the comments. You never know, you're favourite might become my new favourite.
On that note I'm going to run myself a bath and prepare for a Fri-yay night out.
Have a great weekend guys.
