Weekend Things #7

Saturday is finally here and I can't tell you how happy that makes me. After a busy week, it's time for some much needed TLC. Before I take care of that though, it's time to get up my #WeekendThings.

This weeks is going to be quite the mash up as this weeks been very much the same. Firstly, how could I not mention Victoria Beckham's collaboration with Estée Lauder. It was released this past week and I've been salivating over everything ever since. I keep creating my basket and stepping away from the laptop up till now though. I just can't seem to pull the trigger. I think it's because deep down I know you're definitely paying for the name and the packaging. Both of which are reasons why I feel like I need it all. If money was no object, the Modern Mercury Highlighter, Eye Palette and Java Sun Bronzer would be all mine. Just need to click that darn checkout button! If you're feeling spendier than I am, the collection is available at Selfridges and on the Estee Lauder website.

In other beauty news, comes the launch of The Ordinary by Deciem (the guys behind Hylamide & Niod). The range consists of 10 serums, all of which are super affordable. From hyaluronic acid to retinol, the range pretty much has something for everyone. I stumbled upon them quite by accident but couldn't resist ordering some bits to try. Of the 10 available, I chose the Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2% (£5.50) and the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (£5). i'm hoping they'll arrive at some point this week, so I'll get testing ASAP. I really hope they're good as it's great that they're making great skincare accessible. I mean their HA serum is £5, while Hydraluron costs a whopping £25. If the cheaper alternatives work well then it'll be incredible.

Stepping away from beauty for a second, I wanted to tell you all that I've finally committed to running. I've dabbled here and there and it's been fine. This week, I've made the effort though to run at least once a day (sometimes twice) and it's really paying off. I feel much better and I'm performing better too. It's a perfect example of consistency is key. So if you're thinking of giving up with exercise, work through it and you'll reap the rewards.

Linking with that, I also have a song for you this week. I was listening to the Indie station on Amazon Music and this number came on.

Now I like Mumford and Sons just as much as anybody but for some reason this song really stuck with me. I've played it at least once on each run and it keeps me going for sure. Give it a listen and see what you think. Hopefully only good things!

Last but certainly not least, I wanted to throw in a TV show. I'm so late to the party on this one but I've been loving The Following. If you haven't seen it and like CSI type psychological thrillers, you'll love this. I've 5 episodes in and I'm hooked. It's currently on Amazon Prime, so if you have access do have a look and see what you think. I for one am obsessed and I was slightly sad to find out that it's since been cancelled, whelp!

Right, that's my #WeekendThings shared. Now it's time to have a glass of rosé and binge watch The Following. Happy Saturday guys!
