IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream

by - 11:37:00

As a tinted moisturiser kinda gal, this has been the top of my wish list for far too long. It's been lauded by the beauty community as the CC cream to own, but it's took until now for me to get my grubby mitts onto it. Why it took IT Cosmetics so long to launch in the UK (QVC aside), I'll never know but they're here now, so better late than never.

I ordered my CC cream in the shade 'Fair' the day it was released on Selfridges online, which was around 3 months ago now, if not more. It's still going strong and I've got my finally thoughts all ready to roll.

If you're not interested in the nitty gritty, this product is pretty much a must have for me now. If you're not a foundation person but still crave more coverage that a traditional tinted moisturiser, you need this. It really is that simple. Now let's get into it.

The product comes in a pump tube containing 32ml of product and costs £30. Initially it does seem expensive but I reckon that this tube has another two months of use left and I have been using it every single day. So for around £6 a month I think it's good value for money. As for the packaging, it's pretty much what you would expect from a brand developed with surgeons and dermatologists. The pump offers a hygienic way of dispensing the product and it does pretty much dispense the right amount of product for an even layer on the face. The actual appearance of the tube is nothing to write home about but I appreciate a product that's not in your face and bright, so a job well done.

Anyways it's not really too much about that is it, it's about what's on the inside. The product itself is excellent. The tube states it's a 'Color correcting, full coverage cream + anti-aging hydrating serum with SPF+ UVA/UVB. That last bit is one of the best things about this product. While I wouldn't rely on it completely, it's an additional layer of protection and who doesn't want that?

I can't really comment regarding the 'anti-aging hydrating serum', but maybe that aspect will show itself with further continued use. The only thing I can say is that this product doesn't dry my skin out, but I wouldn't say it's overly hydrating either. If you've got really dry skin for example, I'd probably use this over the top of another moisturiser, as opposed to just by itself.

The 'color correcting, full coverage cream' bit is the one I can 100% attest to being true. This CC cream has made my skin look better than any foundation ever has. One and a bit pumps massaged in, leaves my skin perfected and glowy. It's a miracle in a tube and it's definitely the most full coverage CC cream I've ever come across.

On days where I want a lighter effect, I simply tap it on with a damp sponge and the result is lightweight and even more luminous. So you really can make with it what you want, which I love.

Aside from what it says on the tube, the official blurb lists seven things that this product has covered for you.

  • Full coverage foundation
  • SPF 50+ UVA/UVB broad-spectrum physical sunscreen
  • Brightening color corrector
  • Hydrating Anti-aging serum
  • Poreless finish primer - surprisingly, this actually doesn't sink into/emphasise the pores around my nose.
  • Dark spot concealer - as it's pretty full coverage, I'm not sure there's anything this product wouldn't conceal - well tattoos obviously but you get the drift.
    • Moisturizing day cream - this would depend on you skin type as I said earlier.

Positives aside, one thing that a few people were commenting on online was the extensive ingredients list. For reference, here it is...

Massive isn't it. It was a few types of comments like those that made me wary that my skin might react to it. I'm pleased to report that I've had no such experience and if it's even possible, my skin has actually improved through using this. Either way I'm sticking with this one for the long haul and I'm hoping Selfridges will bring over the illuminating version so I can give that one a whirl too.

So overall, I'm pleased to report that it was worth the wait and I will absolutely be repurchasing. If you've ever considered giving it a try, I'd highly suggest you do so and I'm really hoping you'll love it just as much as I do.
